Sorry, I’ve actually be out doing stuff. So this might be a long post, so I’ll do one of those nifty tag things so that you’ll have to click something else to finish reading everything and then my site will get more traffic from that.

So let’s go back to about the 5th of July.

July 5th, 2600 Meeting

90% of the meeting was spent outside! Ok, well, some people decided to stay outside for most of it. I did, as well as many others. It was a nice night, and it was just fun to get away from the wifi and just talk. Steve had an intresting presentation on something.. just kidding. It was good, but during it someone kept making his MacBook go into FrontRow ^_^, HAX BY JAKU #1 of the night.

Now, Josh bought a MacBookPro that day as well, and while he was out. I messed around with his terminal, and set a wall paper on it. On the wall paper it was all white, like the background but at the end of the line where you begin to type it said "hax by jaku", soooo HAX BY JAKU #2. I wish I had a picture of it, it would make more sense. I think it might still be on his computer so I shall just ask him for it later.

After the meet, nothing really important.


July 8th, Movie night!

Went and saw transformers. I enjoyed it a lot. Laughed, cried, and all that other stuff that people do at movies. Also the projector was messed up at the start and other odd things happened at the theatre. HAX BY JAKU #3... ok so maybe I didn't cause the problems but I might have had something to do with it. Anyways I got free movie passes, w00t.


July 12-16th, Email and gumballs

Email crash at work.... that happened around 4pm. I mount a fresh clean database, alert users of problem and start the rebuild process.

7pm, I goto a Tech Cocktail hosted by singlehop.com. Have some fun, meet up with some people from work. Old colleages, currently colleages, and friends. Had a fun time explaining people what HaxByJaku was and ConsoleCamp.com. After a while singlehop.com decides to take a group photo of everyone at singlehop, Kevin and I sneak in. HAX BY JAKU #4. After that a lot of people are leaving, so Kevin helps me fill up my fez(hat) with gumballs.



On the way to my car, I offer gumballs to strangers on the street. Surprisingly they accept! HAX BY JAKU #5.

After the Tech Cocktail, it's back to work for over 18 hours of working on the email server none stop. Basically everything and anything that could had gone wrong with the server did. So I spent my entire weekend and most of Monday fixing way to much.


July 21st, BinRev meeting!

Had the first BinRev meeting in Chicago down by the bean. I might have pictures later. But for now nothing, most of the day was spent by the bean, no real haxs going on, just a bunch of talking. After a while we all go for food, then to DePaul to activate Steves iPhone. Sadly, no haxs that day. Oh well perhaps at the next BinRev meeting.


July 22-31st

Nothing major. Just actually went out and did stuff almost everyday. Had a life really. Sucks the GPS phone is currently not working, as it would have shown how active I was. I think it's the car. I did do some hax with wordpress stuff so HAX BY JAKU #6. But really nothing to write about on here yet. I might do a presentation on the stuff I did in the past week or so.. maybe. Bug me about it and I'll be more likely to do it.

Some people at work on Friday did remember that it was System Administrator Appreciation Day. So that was cool, only 1 or 2 people remembered it last year. So this year it was like 6 or 7, so that's an improvement.

I did see the Joker's semi-truck in the new Batman film "The Dark Knight", as you can tell in the pictures, it is after it got flipped. So I guess that's kinda cool enough to post on here. Anyways Defcon in 2 days, so I'll be posting from there hopefully with all the cool stuff I see and do. Watch for major HAX BY JAKU soon. Maybe....
